Archive 81  a horror television series written and produced by Rebecca Sonnenshine, is based on a podcast with the same title directed by Daniel Powell and Marc Sollinger. In addition to Dina Shihabi and Mamoudou Athie, Matt McGorry also appears in the production. In the show, an archivist is restoring a collection of tapes, but in doing so, she reconstructs the work of a missing filmmaker and investigates a dangerous cult. Netflix premiered the series on 14th January 2022. Mamoudou Athie plays the role of Dan Turner in the series, and it would not be easy to find anyone better suited for the role than he is.
